MIAMI, Florida – The new season has started for professional women’s football around the world, with some of the latest signings of Concacaf players already making an impact in their new teams in Europe.
The English Women’s Super League, one of the most competitive leagues in the world, has started in strong fashion, with many of the new players being game changers.
One of the names that has been in every highlight of the week is FW Mia Fishel of the United States, who after a great start to her professional career with Tigres in Liga MX Femenil, signed with Chelsea, the current league champions.
She did not fall short of expectations, as she scored the first goal for the Blues this season, showing her new fan base why she won the golden boot with Tigres in a 2-1 win versus Tottenham.

Fishel wasn’t the only one who stood out on her debut, as Canadian FW Adriana Leon also made a huge impact upon her arrival to Aston Villa earlier in the summer transfer window.
She started against her former team, Manchester United, participating in a play that helped them score. Even though her team didn’t get the three points in a 2-1 loss, she showed why she is a player to watch on the pitch.
The Division 1 Feminine in France has also officially started, as the new members of those squads are adapting to playing in one of the most demanding tournaments in Europe.
Haiti FW Melchie Dumornay signed with current domestic champions, Olympique Lyonnais, and has been a topic of conversation since she put ink to paper. Her performance at the FIFA 2023 Women’s World Cup with Haiti only added to the hype, and she did not disappoint.
Being subbed in against Paris Saint-Germain in the most exciting game of the weekend, she showed skills and determination in the team’s second win of the season, proving she is ready to take on the biggest challenges to get some silverware with the eight-time European Champions.
